Original, mahogany framed Currier & Ives hand-tinted lithograph print of The
Old Oaken Bucket. Both frame and litho are original to each other.
Beautiful print with minor aging. Text reads: Entered according to act of
Congress in the year 1872 by Currier & Ives in the Office of the Librarian of
Congress at Washington.
Poem reads:
How sweet from the green mossy brim to receive it,
As poised on the curb it inclined to my lips,
Not a full gushing goblet could tempt me to leave it,
Though filled with the nectar that Jupiter sips.
Dimensions: 14" T x 16" W. Period
of Production: Victorian 1838-1901.
